These are in my personal opinion, the most binge-worthy ( as we say in the U.S) French series on Netflix that I thoroughly enjoyed. These series stood out from the rest for me and hooked me in completely. What they all have in common is first of all, an incredible cast of actors, superbly crafted storyline that transports the captivated audience on a virtual ride into different worlds, and an overall feel-good vibe that makes you want to watch more and more! What series did you binge-watch?
L’ Agence or The Parisian Agency (2021)

L’Agence aka The Parisian Agency takes us on a luxurious field trip throughout the episodes as we are privy to some of the most exquisite, extravagant, and unique apartments, homes, and chateau listings in Paris with the infallible view of the Eiffel Tower right in the backyard as well as more exotic destinations such as Ibiza Spain searching for the perfect luxurious properties. Season 1 is entitled Exclusive Properties and in the first 5 episodes we meet the Kretz family. This family is endearing and and seem genuine. Olivier and Sandrine and their four sons, Martin, Valentin, and Louis as well as Raphael the younger teen still in school. This family works together in the luxury real estate market from their Paris home in Boulogne-Billancourt. Welcome to the KRETZ Family Real Estate business. Watch here.
Call my Agent / Ten Percent (2015-2021)

Call My Agent aka 10 Percent/Dix Pourcent and the talent agency is called ASK or Agence Samuel Kerr and the agents are portrayed by Camille Cottin, Thibault de Montalembert, Grégory Montel, Liliane Rovère, Laure Calamy, Asaad Bouab, Fanny Sidney, Stefi Selma, and Nicolas Maury. This team of tight-knit Parisian talent agents and their assistants at ASK Talent Agency have taken us along for the ride behind the scene as we get intimately and endearingly involved in their professional and private lives. We watch as they maneuver and work with their talents which just happen to be some of France’s biggest stars in the film industry such as: Cécile de France, Isabelle Huppert, Nathalie Baye, Line Renaud, Audrey Fleurot, Jean Dujardin, Isabelle Adjani and even the American actress Sigourney Weaver in the last episode. This series is so natural and rich with human and professional real events that we are taken on a ride in the world of agents and their talents. Watch here.
LUPIN (2021)

LUPIN Inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, aka Assane Diop played by Omar Sy on a quest for revenge for the murder of his father for a crime he didn’t commit. His father was accused of stealing Marie-Antoinette’s diamond necklace owned by the Pellegrini family, Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre). We meet Diop’s ex-wife Claire (Ludivine Sagnier) and his son Raoul (Etan Simon). The last episode is optimistic, will the family get back together until suddenly his son gets kidnapped on the beach at the annual Lupin Convention. Through the many flashbacks we are drawn deeper in the story with the past intertwining with the present as we are lead one way only to discover that there is always an element of surprise in the plot. Will Diop clear his good name or will he drag everyone down along with him, including his childhood best friend and partner in crime Benjamin Ferel (Antoine Gouy) ? Will he rekindle the flame with Juliette the Pellegrini daughter (Clotilde Hesme)? It all comes crashing down with the capture of the real criminal who orchestrated it all. The end, unfortunately or fortunately for the viewers, it is not over yet and Diop is once again on the run as we await Lupin, Part 3. Watch here.
Family Business (2019)

When Joseph, a down and out entrepreneur, learns that cannabis may be legalized in France, he decides to enlist his family and friends to transform his father’s Kosher butcher shop into the first marijuana coffeeshop in France. This series gets more hilarious with each episode with ridiculous unexpected intricate plots. My favorite character was the grandma played by Liliane Rovère (who also played in Call My Agent), she, out of all people is actually the brainchild of the marijuana operation with her special weed growing concoction. Created by Igor Gotesman with cast Jonathan Cohen, Gérard Darmon, Julia Piaton, Liliane Rovère with a role for Enrico Macias. Watch here.
Marseille (2016)

I will watch anything with Gérard Depardieu! also starring Benoît Magimel and Nadia Farès. In this series, Depardieu is Robert Taro, Marseille’s mayor for 25 years, who is set up face-to-face with his former protégé in the next elections. As Marseille’s mayor rallies support for a controversial casino project, his longtime ambitious protégé prepares to take a bold step. Enter the world of power, corruption and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the French port city of Marseille. Watch here.
