Francis Cabrel – Trobador Tour North America and Canada 2024

Francis Cabrel will be back in the U.S. and Canada with a few dates in June during his Trobador Tour. The artist had not been back since 2016 and had to cancel his 2020 tour due to the pandemic. Nonetheless, he has been busy with concerts in Europe and on social media where his fans were privileged to have him and his guitar all to themselves in an intimate private concert setting during his Facebook Live sessions and masterclass guitar tutorials on YouTube.

Born in Agen in 1953, Francis Cabrel was raised in Astaffort (Lot-et-Garonne)/Southwestern France. Considered one of the most influential French musical artists of all time. He is an inimitable lyricist and poet. Several of his songs, such as “L’encre de tes yeux”, “Je l’aime à mourir”, “Petite Marie”, “La Dame de Haute-Savoie”, “Encore et encore”, “Il faudra leur dire”, “Sarbacane”, “C’est écrit”, “Je t’aimais, je t’aime, je t’aimerai” and “La corrida”, have become enduring favourites in French music. Since the start of his career, Cabrel has sold over 25 million albums.

Cabrel discovered the guitar and began composing songs at an early age. He was inspired by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and James Taylor. Cabrel’s 14th studio album, 2020’s À l’aube revenant, is a tribute to troubadours who have influenced him. He followed the album’s release with the Trobador Tour, during which he recorded a 31-track live album released in December 2021.

Francis Cabrel is just like a troubadour with his guitar on the road in America during his 2024 tour…
