Coco Chanel Perfumes

With so many wonderful French perfume classics to choose from: ChanelGivenchy (from my hometown), YSL, Thierry Mugler, Guerlain, Christian Dior, Jean Patou, or the newer ones like Annick Goutal, and Diptyque, it’s going to be a challenge to pick just a few. Although I love flowers, I prefer a scent that is not too floral and with more spice, so for now, these are my ultimate favorite iconic French Perfumes created by Chanel’s nose, Jacques Polge from 1978 to 2015.

“Apply perfume wherever you want to be kissed.” Gabrielle Bonheur aka Coco Chanel

✨ Guylaine’s Perfume Secret

“Perfume is a very subjective luxury, and the same perfume will smell different on every woman. There’s a chemical reaction that occurs when we spritz or dab some perfume on. (By the way, never ever rub your wrists together after applying your perfume because this will alter and destroy the delicate molecules.) Apply perfume on your neck, wrist, décolleté, and on your pulse points, wherever you can feel a heartbeat. The fragrance and oil mix with our unique chemistry and pheromones so it is very likely that the perfume that smells so heavenly on your friend will not have the same effect on you and vice versa.”

“The best things in life are free. The second best things are very, very expensive.” -Coco Chanel

“I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with Destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” -Coco Chanel
