Emily in Paris – Season 5

Emily in Paris is back for Season 5, and it should really be called Emily in Paris, Emily in Rome, with 10 new episodes scheduled to stream on Netflix on December 18, 2025. Emily in Paris Season 5 stars Lili Collins as Emily Cooper, with returning cast members Ashley Parks (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Lucien Laviscount (Alfir), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), and newcomers Bryan Greenberg (Jake) and Minnie Driver (Princess Jane). The season follows Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris, exploring new romances with Italian Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) and deepening connections with Mindy and Alfie, while Gabriel’s role shifts as he deals with his own relationships and career.

Take a trip down memory lane and recap highlights of “Emily in Paris” previous 4 seasons:

Season 1:  Emily Cooper is suddenly catapulted from Chicago to Paris to act as a young marketing executive in an established French marketing agency.   Oblivious to the French culture and the language,  Emily will forge her way in designer pumps or talons à aiguilles, and fashion style ( in some scenes a bit à la Audrey Hepburn) and quickly create a social media buzz.

Season 2: Darren Star, the series’ creator, summed it up this way in an interview: “In season 2, she’s (Emily) going to be more of a part of the fabric of the world she’s living in. She’ll be more of a resident of the city. She’ll have her feet on the ground a little more. She’s making a life there ( in Paris).”

Season 3: Emily (Lily Collins) made some major decisions in all areas of life, even her hair! She cut her bangs, French style! With the last episode cliffhanger, of course, season 4 is right around the corner, and I’ll probably be tuning in again to catch a dreamy glimpse of le beau Paris and catch up with Emily, who grows on you in a cringe-worthy kind of way. So, “Bravo Lily Collins as Emily, good job!” like Sylvie said.

Season 4: Get ready for more of the American expat’s latest adventures with a fabulous winter grey Paris backdrop that I love! This time around, it’s all about more girlie drama and balancing work and relationships with other twists and turns. Oh, la, la Emily!
