Céline Dion: Paris Comeback 2026-2027

Céline Dion’s comeback is more than a series of performances; it is Céline’s personal testimony of resilience, indomitable spirit, and a celebration of Life over loss, grief, illness, and impossible odds. For her millions of fans worldwide, this is also a reunion and love affair with Céline that has spanned over 40 years. This artist has been present in everyone’s life throughout the decades, and we all have a Céline song. For me, it was on the album “D’eux “, and particularly the song “Pour que tu m’aimes encore,” written and produced by Jean-Jacques Goldman in 1995, which revealed Céline to French audiences.

It is a long-awaited comeback since Céline’s loss of her husband and manager René Angélil in 2016, as she continued her Las Vegas Residency, and the cancellation of the “Courage World Tour” due to a health-related hiatus and her diagnosis with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS) in 2022, followed by the spectacular performance of Edith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour at the 2024 Paris Olympics on the Eiffel Tower.

During the Paris Residency, Céline performs 3 times a week and also meets and greets with fans in front of her hotel, Le Royal Monceau, on her way to rehearsals or the show, showing up wearing haute couture designers. Céline also helped kick off Paris Fashion Week on September 28, 2026, with a surprise performance at the L’Oréal Paris Runway, closing the show with her 2002 hit “I’m Alive”.

Her career started as a teenager in Charlemagne, Quebec, and she has become one of the best-selling Canadian artists of all time, with over 200 million record sales worldwide. She was propelled into the global spotlight in 1988 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest. Today, her fight is to overcome the illness, as she vowed in her 2024 documentary, “I am: Céline Dion,” that she would sing again: “If I can’t run, I’ll walk. If I can’t walk, I’ll crawl. I won’t stop.”

There are now 26 shows planned for The Paris Residency, presented in 2 parts at the Plénitude Arena, Nanterre, France, formerly Paris La Défense Arena.

Part 1: September 12, 2026 – October 17, 2026

Part 2: May 8, 2027 – May 29, 2027 (10 added performances)

Here are recaps of the opening and the first three weeks in Paris, with a moving and emotional statement made by the artist: “I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage. So here I am, singing for you, singing for me, singing life.”

Well, Céline’s comeback so far is truly an over-the-top spectacular triumph in all ways. May she continue to be blessed and bless so many with her gift. I like to think Céline is a great inspiration for many to keep fighting and embrace life with dignity and courage, no matter what!
