We are happy to once again partner with Newport Beach Film Festival for its 23rd annual event which will be held from October 13 to 20th!
Celebrated as one of the leading lifestyle film festivals in the United States, the annual Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) attracts 58,000 film and food fans to over 100 feature films, 30 short film programs, and a dozen public parties featuring more than 60 culinary partners with their finest tastings.
The Festival features films from all over the globe with a special clin d’oeil or spotlight on European films. The Newport Beach Festival’s French Spotlight event will be held at Starlight Triangle Cinemas in Costa Mesa’s Triangle Square on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 7:45 pm.

The Newport Beach Film Festival’s French Spotlight will be screening ‘The Worst Ones – Les Pires’. This film, France’s entry to the Academy Awards, is directed by Lise Akoka, Romane Gueret, produced by Marine Alaric, Frédéric Jouve, with starring cast Mallory Wanecwue, Timéo Mahaut, Johan Heldenbergh.
“In this playful film-within-a-film about the challenges and perils of street casting a group of teenagers from the cité Pablo Picasso, a housing project in the suburbs of Boulogne-Sur-Mer, in the north of France, Flemish director Gabriel tells a prospective actor that he’s looking for children who haven’t had easy lives. The response is “Seems like you’re just looking for the worst ones.”
The event includes a red-carpet pre-event, the screening of the film, and an after-party at Time Nightclub.
