A few days ago Parisians woke up to find their iron lady engulfed in an incredible Trompe L’oeil, the work of JR French artist on the eve of Paris Déconfinement of the café terraces. This massive optical illusion reveals the Eiffel Tower emerging standing and riveted in between two precipices with a man flying over the gulf holding an umbrella over a busy street scene. This grandiose illusion is made up of thousands of huge sticky strips of paper still “using art to turn the world inside out.“
This ephemeral work of art will be on display from May 19 to June 19, 2021
at the Parvis des droits de l’homme,
75016 Paris.
