LVMH French Perfume Houses Manufacture Free Hydroalcoholic Gel

In the midst of the global pandemic COVID-19, the world leader in luxury LVMH and the parent company of French luxury brands such as the Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Givenchy are standing together in solidarity and “corporate philanthropy”.

Since earlier this week, these French Perfume Houses have halted perfume production and are busy manufacturing & providing free hydroalcoholic gel hand sanitizer in very large quantities to help the public health authorities, doctors, and nurses on the forefront of the Coronavirus battlefield.

LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics says “it will continue to honor this commitment for as long as necessary.” This very in-demand hand sanitizer is being delivered to authorities including a network of 39 teaching hospitals treating millions of patients each year.

As per Financial Time “This project came together at lightning speed, a mere 72 hours after the French government issued a call to industry on Friday to help fill gaps of key medical supplies as the spread of the virus accelerated. It showed how billionaire Bernard Arnault, who built LVMH into a luxury giant and France’s biggest company, can marshal resources quickly and draw upon informal yet powerful networks of influence.”

In the United States and worldwide, hand sanitizer has disappeared overnight from the shelves as people hoarded on the stuff or others bought for resale but don’t despair good old fashion soap and water is still the best way to wash our hands!

There are also homemade recipes to make your own hand sanitizer gel by using aloe vera gel, alcohol solution 70% and a few drops of essential oil for fragrance.
