10 Classic French Perfumes


Perfume is a luxurious necessity that has the power to uplift, inspire, comfort, arouse. captivate, intoxicate and seduce…  it makes me feel good and I miss it terribly when I am out. I’d rather just wear an essential authentic oil than a cheap perfume.  Perfume is a powerful trigger of emotions and a myriad of feelings and nostalgia. One whiff and I am transported back in time, revisiting a memory, a moment, an instant. Perfume is part of a woman’s secret allure and persona, her scent lingers on and follows her as her signature. There are so many delicious perfumes but for this list’s sake, I selected 10 classic French Perfumes.

On the other hand, I’ve always wanted to have a collection of French Perfumes  (Parfums, Eau de Parfum) to wear following l’Air du Temps with so many wonderful classics to choose from like Chanel,  Givenchy (from my hometown), YSL, Thierry Mugler, Guerlain , Christian Dior,  Jean Patou or the newer ones like Annick Goutal and Dyptique etc…
