French Spotlight at Newport Beach Film Festival – Tuesday April 25


The Newport Beach Film Festival ‘s French Spotlight will be held on Tuesday April 25 2017

The 18th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will present its French Spotlight, an evening celebration of French cinema and culture. The event will feature the regional premiere of the award-winning film, The Outsider (L’Outsider), followed by a festive post-screening gala.

An engaging drama, The Outsider (L’Outsider), follows the ruthless trading activity inside one of the biggest banks in the world – Société Générale. The film tracks the rise and fall of anonymous trader turned superstar turned scapegoat – Jérôme Kerviel – just as the 2008 financial crisis unfolds. The Outsider (L’Outsider) is directed and written by Christophe Barratier and stars Arthur Dupont, François-Xavier Demaison, Sabrina Ouazani, Tewfik Jallab, Thomas Coumans, Soren Prevost and Franz Lang
