The Los Angeles Dance Company proudly presents “On Pointe at 50 and beyond!… “ featuring Former American Ballet Theater Ballerina, Marie-France Lévesque with distinguished Star Guest Artists and ensemble from her Los Angeles Dance Company. Just turning 50, Canadian born Marie-France Lévesque returns to the stage and on pointe after a serious car accident stopped her dance career 14 years ago. This inspiring and motivational ballet, contemporary & music performance is sure to surprise, delight and empower people of all ages to believe they can re-invent their lives and careers, overcome adversity and pursue their dreams and passions even after 50 and keep everyone “on pointe” with themselves in their life.

Dance and music performance
The performance will feature a medley of pas-de-deux from the classical ballet repertoire, many new neo-classical and contemporary pieces as well as tango & latin works . Choreography by Former ABT dancers Craig Williams, Lorin Johnson and Marie-France Lévesque, Former San Francisco Ballet Principal dancer Mark Lopes, Former Paris Opera Principal dancer Patrick Frantz. Featuring special guest artists, Opera Singer and “Ms. Senior California and America 2012” Elizabeth Howard, and Grammy nominated composer and world-renowned latin piano virtuoso, Freddie Ravel, among others.

About Los Angeles Choreographers & Dancers
Founded in 1979, Los Angeles Choreographers & Dancers (LA C&D) is a non-profit dance organization (501-(c)(3)- IRS ID # 95-3509028) with a mission to create high-quality, innovative concert work for Los Angeles artists, communicate to a diverse audience infusing dance with the cultural influences found in LA, and to enlarge an educated dance audience in populations typically underexposed to the arts.
