The Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste (OSK) is the only orchestra in Central Africa. It is an all-black Congolese orchestra located in Kinshasa founded by Conductor Armand Diangienda in 1994. The orchestra started with a dozen amateur musicians and performers and grew to about 200 members  into a full orchestra and choir. German filmmakers Martin Baer and Claus Wischmann created the documentary Kinshasa Symphony depicting the plight of the orchestra and its members in poverty-stricken Kinshasa.

Maestro Armand Diangienda is now called the “Magical Director”  by CBS News and followed by 60 minutes!

Please take about 15 minutes to view and digest …you will not regret it. Indeed, MUSIC is one of the greatest hopes for all that is good in our world!”

says Grammy nominated musical maestro Freddie Ravel who is also performing that day with his friend Verdine White of the legendary  “Earth,Wind & Fire” !
