Pamela Clay – Edith Piaf’s Songbird- Sings ” Somethin’ for Everyone” on October 20th at Barones!
Pamela Clay lived in Europe for many years in Paris and Bordeaux, France, as well as Germany. She was born in Oklahoma the middle child of seven to a (now retired) military Dad and artist Mom. Fluent in French and often mistaken for a native French, Pamela sings “Edith Piaf and More!” at various Los Angeles nightclubs and private parties, of which the late critic Mr. Richard Blackwell wrote: “Pamela Clay is the rebirth of Edith Piaf!”
Acting and singing on stage, film, television and radio since age five, Pamela has appeared onstage at the John F. Kennedy Center, the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre and Wilshire-Ebell Theatre; on-screen opposite Tommy Lee Jones. She is the lead singer with all-original New Orleans-flavored rock band “Catahoula.” They have headlined at the Long Beach Crawfish Festival, BB Kings at Universal City Walk, the Troubadour and recently celebrated her birthday at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Pamela lives in the Hollywood Hills with her husband Bruce Bermudez who is an artist, sculptor and musician.
I have enjoyed Pamela Clay’s heart-felt and passionate performances and her rendition of Edith Piaf’s timeless classics give me goosebumps especially my favorite La Vie en Rose which you can enjoy here:
